Established in 1997, Sense International India (Sense India) is a pioneering organization providing comprehensive support for deafblind individuals across India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. From humble beginnings, Sense India now supports over 80,000 deafblind children and adults, offering education, skills training, and livelihood opportunities. Collaborating with 60+ partner NGOs and holding consultative status with the United Nations, Sense India also trains families and professionals, making a profound impact on deafblind communities throughout South Asia.

National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NDFN)

Founded in 1995, the National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NDFN) leads efforts to protect and empower Nepal's deaf community. As Nepal’s premier civil rights organization for the deaf, NDFN operates with a vast network of 53 affiliated associations and seven provincial committees. Dedicated to promoting Nepali Sign Language, NDFN plays a crucial role in the National Resource Center on Deafblindness, which advances education, health, and family support initiatives across Nepal. Through advocacy and awareness, NDFN ensures that every deaf individual in Nepal can access essential resources and opportunities for meaningful participation in society.

Nepal Association of the Blind (NAB)

Established in 1993, the Nepal Association of the Blind (NAB) works to protect the rights and improve the lives of blind and visually impaired individuals across Nepal. With branches in seven provinces and a membership of over 4,000, NAB is dedicated to advocacy, skills development, and policy reform, guided by the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). NAB partners with international organizations like NABP Norway and DAB Denmark to promote independence, dignity, and self-reliance for people with visual impairments.

Deafblind Association Nepal (DAN)

The Deafblind Association Nepal (DAN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with deafblindness across Nepal. Founded in 2012 and based in Pokhara, DAN advocates for the human rights and social inclusion of people with deafblindness, striving to eliminate barriers and promote equal access to services. As a pioneering Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD), DAN works to build a society where individuals with deafblindness can participate fully in social, economic, and political life, leading campaigns to advance accessibility, inclusion, and awareness nationwide.

Society of Deaf Blind Parents (SDBP)

Founded in 2005 by a group of passionate parents, the Society of Deaf Blind Parents (SDBP) is committed to raising awareness and support for individuals with deafblindness in Nepal. Registered with Kathmandu’s District Administration Office, SDBP conducts nationwide initiatives focusing on health, education, and job opportunities for parents and children with deafblindness. With 22 members, SDBP continues to grow its outreach, conducting screenings, workshops, and community programs to support families across new districts.
